A most unusual "folk art" tiger maple small chest of drawers. All parts are of solid tiger maple, which has a very strong figure all the way through. The crest of the top is unusually carved. The sides are paneled. There are two small drawers in the top section with three long drawers in the bottom section. Nicely shaped front and side skirts. The back has the name of "J. Vogel", Stutgart, Arkansas. This was either the owner or the maker of this chest. American cc 1860
