An exceptionally detailed pair of Chippendale side chairs in the Baroque taste. Note the arched crest rail, cabriole legs, carved ears, and wonderful original tooled leather slip seats with Moorish design. The chairs are in San Domingo mahogany and retain a fine deep patina. Some of carving possibly after the chairs were originally made. Circa 1780 Portuguese or Spanish
